Description
===========
"It has been nearly forty years since the city was brought to its knees. Even though it was crippled, the city did not fall. And even forty years later, it still holds countless untold secrets, and treasures."

This is the township of New Haven. It is part of the county Sutch project (for more information, please visit my forums)
This mod is meant to REPLACE Sutch Reborn...

Features
---------
This is the fully functioning city of New Haven...
It is complete with nearly 100 npcs, with unique schedules...
There are various shops as well this time around for the player to view and barter with
The biggest change is the stability from a modding stand-point, and the graphical updates of the city...
I see t his city's graphics as middle between vanilla, and Better Cities...

Planned
-------
there are numerous planed quests as well that involve uncovering secrets assassination plots, hidden treasures, secrets of the barony, secrets of the old Sutch ruins to the east, and the mysterious red templar’s, to a quest to own the player home in the city...

Version Control (compatibility)
===============
This mod like I said above is the Replacement of Sutch Reborn... in the new county Sutch project, Sutch reborn is being replaced, with a graphically updated and new model...
This one has the same location, and basically level, just all new npcs, houses, architecture, and background...
The quests line for this time around will focus on the ancient history hidden in the city.

Sutch Reborn is still being offered, because it is... in some cases... and more FPS friendly version...
Although both mods are a tad fps heavy.

This mod is a closed city, where Sutch reborn was open...

Location
========
It occupies a small area wedged between a handful of vanilla features
North - Brina River
South - Lord Drads Plantation
West - Malacath's Shrine
East - Fort Sutch

How to Start
============
To start the mod, there are no quests in this version, the city itself and its npcs/features are all that is available at the moment. In future versions there will be additional quests and content. This version focuses mainly on the graphical overhaul of the city.

Install
=======
1. Open the 7z file
2. Enter the various sub folders until you find the 'meshes, textures, and esp files.
3. Extract all files mentioned above to... (Install folder)\Oblivion\Data\
4. Start Oblivion Launcher, click 'Data Files', place a checkmark beside the .esp file.

Uninstall
=========
1. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, uncheck the .esp file.
2. Delete the files/folders associated with the mod (there are a lot).

Upgrade
=======
First Public Version, no upgrade required :)

Incompatibility
===============
This mod will Not work with The Imperial Township of Sutch Reborn... this mod is meant to be the replacement for that mod...

as for everyone else reading this ;)

here is a few funny snipts from the new mod... these are some memorial plaques in the crypt

Sir Riniso – Founder
Baron Din –uncrismatic son who lost his contorl to riots.

Baron Domasnn – a fair ruler, and just. He fell ill and died before his time.

“Here Lies Baron Lidean, He ruled for nearly 40 years before his death by the hand of an assasin. This rouge was never cought, or forced to stand trial. He will be a reminder to the one that got away.”

“Here Lies Baron Jartod. He ruled for nearly 30 minutes before being poisned at his corination. He like his father add to the increasing list of assinated barons of new haven. There was not enough time to remember.”

“Here Lies Baroness Mania. She was noted for being the only female ruler of new haven. she assumed the mantle upon her husband, jartods untimely (the leters un are scratched out) end. she, unlike her late husband did great deads, and goverend fairly. she was the one who recived charters from the sutch trading company. this ment that new haven would be an outpost. she will always outshadow her husband.”

"Here Lies Baron Dan-Dana, He was the only baron to rule new haven, from owls cove. He met an untimely end while sailing back from New Sutch. The Muarders where never brought to justice. Some rumor that the corwn is still reciving pieces of him to this day. There was not enough left of him, to remember."

"Here Lies Baron Torline, He was one of the most accomplished barons new haven has ever seen. he is the on who formed the aliance with the late lord sandorbar. he is the one who brought back the order of kynerith to new haven. he will be sorely missed. (in smaller print: Especialy in comparison to all the other screw-ups that have held the office of New Haven's Baron."

"Here Lies poor Baron Kalort. of all the rulers, he was not the shortest, but comes in a close second. he ruled for eighteen days. he was leading a expodition out to the island that is now known as red palm. he told his men to climb a shear cliff to survey the island. the men looked at him as if he was insane. he ordered them again, and they decapitated him on the spot. after that the shiped his body back in a crate. This island is still under contorl of the natives."

"Here Lies Glanna. His rule was marked by the opening of a crate of gems. he was nastly suprised when he found his fathers head packaged within. he was never menatly sound after that. He ordered the burning of the sacred tree atleast 29 recorded times. all of which were ignored. He ordered his horse to be steward. this was also ignored. He was shiped to red palm island to spend the remainder of his life(carved in beside, 15 hours). Some people can not be forgoten, no matter how much we try."

"Here Lies Baron Sadean. He was the the father of the current baron of New Haven. He will always be remembered as a hero for his stand. where many of the barons of county sutch defaulted when the black bands stormed the county. Sadean was the only one to stand by Count Leo Sutch. Even though he and most of the city were torched. may he forever rest and peace, and be remembered a a hero."

haha, i was having fun with them ;) and yes i can imagine... its in script boxes, so there lacks a spell check... i noticed a few off things that need to be fixed, but there is always time :)

im working on pruneing out things that are not needed... there is a LOT of clutter in this mod that needs to be cut...

i do hope that will improve preformance...

Sorry about the short message, but I was being called away while I tried to write.

I do like the memorial scripts. They add a lot of depth - and much needed history - to the mod. I'm glad they were fun to make because it is the little things like that that really build the lasting relationship with your fans. They make the mod memorable instead of just a fun runthrough.

hehe :) new haven was not the success that city of sutch was ;) all of its barons (except a few :P) were completly incompintant... where as sutch all of there counts were heald with great respect :P

right now im goining through a long and difficult process using tools that i am very alien with :P to prune off the dead weight (im already noticing an increase in load times with the cs)

this will also prevent any odd occurances from bad quest, and other broken peices turning up in game play aswell :)

now... i dare anyone ehre to go and walk through the entire new haven keep... EVERY thing in the keep has an interior, the walls, the keep, the gate, the ground (large systems of burried tunnles and sutch)

and there are 21 broken ai pacakges for guards in the keep, that are needed to be fixed... so i get to go through them and repair the broken links in them... i have never before been in such a huge structure as the walls (Sorry im harping on this, but its amazeing this detail!) each wall is uniquely decorated, and has patorls! ontop of and inside!

this file is the second biggest esp i have on my hard drive (KA still beating it by a few killiobytes :P)

well back to reparing :)

actuly... back to reparing my cs, which i messed up... again >.>

okay, so i finshed prunning off the dead wieght, and the mod loads much better, :) which was my hope of doing so...

the lag i was expercinng was cut down by a fourth atleast... from this is bad to this is dealable :)

everything has lag ;)

edit, now i have the joy of adding to the city again :)

there are a few houses that remain empty, and need filled... then there is the matter of the library to be done (need player works to fill its grand halls :) )

im adding in some guards that are camping out in the tenets and courtyard (trying to add a defnece of bruma feel, since there is room, and i havnt finshed the guard barracks yet :P
