I've recently downloaded the latest beta version of Craftybits, so I thought I'd start a topic on it. Mostly, I'm hoping other users, those who are just interested, and especially veterans of the mod to let me know their experiences and possibly help with problems on occasion. And, if someone else needs help with it that I can provide, (I'm still very new to it) I'd be delighted to share what I've learned.

I haven't played the beta version and would be interested in the changes and updates.

This is pretty selfish of me, but I'd love it if you decided to download and try out the latest version. That's because I'd really, really enjoy having someone to chat to when I try out something different in it. I do feel a little intimidated with all those experienced modders and nervous when I ask about something that I think is just me not quite understanding instructions. I've been trying to keep them updated about the problems I find, but I think they'd appreciate it better if I'm talking about problems with the program (bugs) other than just my misunderstandings. Talking with you would help me determine that. (If you have same problems, then I'd know it's at least a problem with the guide.)

So far, I have discovered there are a few minor differences and loads of new things to do and make. For instance, one of the first things I made was a clay lantern. It looks great and works beautifully. Now, I use that instead of the torches.

You also need to build up skills in order to make the hard stuff. So, I've been worried whether any problems I have are true bugs, something I'm not doing right, or just a lack of the skills to do it. I'd really like someone else's opinion before I make myself too obviously a noob at Wormhole. (For instance, they assured me my failure to skin a black bear was lack of ingame skills. They were right. When I tried it again, I got confirmation from the mod.)

Oo. That sounds a bit too needy, doesn't it? Well, I'm just having a lot of fun with it and really want to share.

I will have to try installing Oblivion on this computer. My disks are worn too a frazzle. I want to play Scythe's mods too. I have been a bit in the doldrums over my cousin and find I have to push myself to things online or offline plus the other problems I mentioned somewhere else.

My incentive has gone and disintegrated I am afraid.

That's understandable. But, try not to withdraw completely. Even when it seems meaningless, a chat now and then can be very beneficial. Sometimes, they make the lows not quite so deep and other times, they just provide a little distracting respite from our problems and sorrows.

Wise words. Seems I said something similar to Lalwende a while back. Pestered her on facebook. Guess it is my turn to be pestered but I am here more than on FB. Keep up the chat regarding CraftyBits. I will see if I can get Oblivion installed. Then find out if I can get into my Wormhole account.

Will do. Right now, though, I need to go check on a bug report I left earlier today.
