this is the wip thread for COUNTY sutch reborn, this is the new version of sutch... this is going to be the one with the unique dialogue, the various expansions, the newer quest techniques, and far more than were planed for the old sutch mod... this mod is current being voiced, or is supposed to be in voicing stages

Well if I remember rite the countys supposed to be largley located in offshore islands and what not.
Prehaps have a boat mod or two involved, so you can travel on your own to the islands.

hm, thats an intersting idea.... yes county sutch has 3 setlments in the north gold coasts... the docks... and then many off shore islands...

I forget the name offhand, but you know that mod that adds sailboats to Jensine in the IC market and 1-2 other places...... that'd be a good one to include or link to as essentel.
Also rowboat mods prehaps ? (or just have guys with rowboats offering island to island transport, like the boats/siltstriders in morrowind in that they only go to a few nearby places)
Also, I recomend looking into pirate ships too, also finding a way for MOVING pirate ships too.
At the very least, have a pirate ship or two right beside the shore (hidden pirate docks also prehaps) with a gangplank down to the shore, and loads of archers on the boat. Prehaps have at least one of the pirate ships be capturable, allowing you to use it as a home/boat, but also to sell it, or set up a trading concern with it that a NPC can run. If you stick to the west coast of cyrodil it can work with minimal issue, because w/o mods boats are hard to RP on the river and IC lakes, due to all the bridges/rocks that literly make any boat travel from IC docks to the sea south of leyawin impossible (then theres teh fact that the river doesnt even GO to the ocean to the south, but stops at leyawin with a 'bridge' of land seperating the river from the ocean, proably one of the more plain out and out retarded moves by bethesda when making the game (and yes I know theres the mods that fix that :p )

hehe yes... there will be ppl with small boats taking u to the diffrent islands in the chians, and of coruse the bigger ships taking u from chain to chain, and back to the mainland... the pirate side of thigns does prove to be an intersting idea to say the least.... will defintly have to incorpate that... perhaps even some chances for pirate roleplaying? on the island chain beta (dont have a real name yet, so im using beta:P) there are 5 or 6 big islands, with small ones around it... 2 of those are under imperial contorl, the others are lost to pirates, so perhaps the pirates could... ask you to join, or capture u, and u chose to join them, and play as a pirate for a while  just some thoguths that pop into my head

You're a known goody goody, at most they'll ransom you. At lower fame levels, a chance that they'll realize who you are AFTER you join, at which point the gig is up. Below that, you can join at will. Too bad oblivion doesnt have a regional rep system like in Fallout/Fallout2, each city has its own rep system for you, tho global hero things could make all of them like you more. Hmmm, that gets methinking......

Lol, I like the idea that they will ransom you ...maybe if your somewhere in the middle you can negotiate with them, and try to buy your own freedom before being sold off. Or go on a probationary period where you have to prove yourself to join them....joining a pirate gang shouldn't be easy, unless you have lots of infamy.

Exactly. It shouldnt be like the DB vanilla quest were 'lol i killed 1 guy' (half the time for me, it was complete accident, NPC running between my archer PC and a target, or between my sword and a target) so I'll kill a few people for you and suddenly be the boss.
Becoming the leader should be nigh onto impossible.
At most, you should be able to become leader of a raidign party.
You should, if you get captured THEN join, be robbed of most of your kit.
However, you get ONE weapon, and ONE suit of armor, and ONE change of cloths back.
Eventualy, you'll have the option to recover more of it, sometimes on the bodeis of pirates during raids, sometimes buying it back.
