I believe it's been noted - somewhere - that we are interested in making some changes to DCRP, our resource pack.

While this is still in the planning stage, I think it would be appropriate to hear from others who have opinions and suggestions about what they'd like to see done. So far, we have noted from comments on Nexus that the resource pack is too large and needs tightening up. Some resources are not being used anywhere and other things could use a little work as well.

So, what do you think? Team members and non-team members are welcome to post their thoughts. Do you use or plan to use any of these resources in your own mods? If so, which resources or type of resources are you most interested in?

Please let us know as now is the perfect time.

If there are some resources not used by any of our mods and that are not planned to be in any in the nearest future, I think we can leave them behind without worries.

As for new resources... All I can say that if there is a need, I might try my magical fingers on Nexus and find some nice resources

i know there is alot that is not needed, but deciding what is, and whats not is hard, and the harder part is finding them in packs 7-14...

No pressure here. I just thought we could ask for various suggestions from others that might bring up new ideas or things we should keep in mind as the process continues.

I don't know whether this would cost money... but

perhaps things can get compressed so downloading will not be as long, and I don't know whether this costs money... but perhaps we can try using a program like install shield wizard?

I don't know how install shield wizard works, Ronin, but it is definitely something to think about.

However, I do think there are things in the resource pack that were just put there "in case they're needed" and never used. That is a little like hoarding, I think. We really do need to check and see how much of it really isn't needed.

I think that would be entirely non-productive in this case, because the resource-packs were already packed via: 7-zip or (win)rar.
Packing them again will be useless and gains us nothing to lower the package size.
