Post Everyone talks about weather!
It's summer time (well, for all those on North hemisphere) and everyone is very considered about weather. So Come in and talk about it. Are you happy with it? Would you like to have a spell to change it? Or maybe send it to someone you like... or not?

It's a very sunny day here. But from previous days I learnt it WILL rain. maybe even it HEAVILY rain. And then at the evening it will be hot again. It's not that bad... Could be worst. I saw that yesterday about 300 km from me there was a short rain. Very short. And then the streets were 1 meter under the water... And we don't have monsoons here...

How about your weather?

Perfect weather for me would probably be in the high 60s or low 70s. Maybe high 70s with a breeze.

Actual weather is mostly sunny with temperatures in the low 90s. I don't much care for warm weather. I probably should have looked for a school in Canada instead of Arkansas.

Lalwende, you sound like you are in my area (even though I know you most certainly are not!). It is hot, hot and more hot. That little bit of time when the summer is here, but it isn't too muggy and it's perfect for going out...has passed. Now it's just sickeningly humid. But good beach/pool weather, I suppose. And it's what I get for living in Florida, and in July, no less :P

Isn't there anywhere with nice temperatures year-round, pretty much like Brasil said, but in the 70's and 80's for me? Winter could be the 60's and summer could be the 90's (I will allow a month for each, to properly feel the seasons ;) ) And not so much humidity that running to my car for less than a minute wouldn't make me need a shower afterwards, like where I live currently. Other than Anvil, that is ;)

Hehe, I certainly don't live in the same place Misnomer. All those 60, 70 or 100 make me feel really hot! 100 degrees is a boiling water!!! I really pity all Americans :P Jokes aside, today it was very hot and surprise-surprise: no rain! I have a bad feeling about this! Maybe my plans for weekend won't be so good... A storm may come this night... or tomorrow...

I leave anyway so I wish you all the best for weekend. Can't say for sure if I will have access to the Internet.

Have a good time, Lalwende!

Hmm. Hot. Yep. Hot is desert and desert is hot. At least this time of the year. 106 degrees (F) yesterday and 107 the day before. Did cool down to the 80's last night with a few sprinkles, but I'm still hoping for that monsoon rain to kick in. Of course, our heat isn't muggy, or wasn't until the monsoon wind changed. Now, it gets muggy, but if it didn't, we wouldn't get any rain. And, I don't think our muggy compares at all with that in Florida, Misnomer.

However, I do know where your ideal weather is located and - you're in luck - there is some of that in the US. Summers in 70's, 80's, and low 90's, winters mostly in 60's during the day, dropping down to low 50's at night. Not too muggy. It's in northern California, in the bay area. Seldom freezes during the winter (never during the day) and very seldom hits 95 or higher in the summer. Usually hangs around upper 60's and 70's during most of the summer. Quite a bit of rain during the winter, though (none from late June to October, though) and lots of fog. Biggest problem with living there is that it is a bit crowded and waaaaay too expensive for a lot of us.

There is lots of cool things to see and do there, though.
;)

Hehe, I lived outside of Monterey Bay for 3 months (3 cold months! especially moving from Florida) and had to move because I was incurring a lot of debt, without any income. Might try it again, but do a little more planning this time, instead of just picking up my stuff out of nowhere and moving to the opposite coast. And if you tell me it gets warmer there during the summer, I just might. My husband and I actually do talk about moving there...and Hawaii. Things to aspire to, I suppose.

But you never said, Nowena, what is your ideal weather?

I think I have a hard time picking my favorite weather. I grew up in the desert, so I love anything like fog, rain, snow, etc. Not too fond of 30 below with heavy wind, though. I also love thunderstorms, with lots of lightning and thunder. Do not much care for air I have to swim through or saunas whether they be man made or nature made. (Do love fireflies, though.)

As far as temperatures, I guess San Francisco has to be my favorite. Not too hot in the summer, not too cold in the winter, and loads of fog. Fog is mysterious and exciting. Fog is entertaining and imaginative. A street you go down every day for ten years becomes something you can't recognize in the fog. Fog makes our everyday world a fantasyland of your mind. Love it.

Still, I'm not unhappy with the desert. San Francisco has the great disadvantage of no good thunderstorms and I don't know how I'd live without them. And, over the years, I've learned to live with the heat. Not so good living with cold, I'm afraid.

I like warm weather but I'm much better with a cold one. It's a Northling thing I believe ;) I like when the weather is lightly under 30 degrees (my scale!) but no less than 25. Above 30 I start to feel uneasy. And I really don't want to have another sunstroke so now I prepare myself against such disaster.

Oh, yes. Sunstroke is bad thing. Do not want a sunstroke - me either.

Best way to prevent sunstroke, though, is stay out of the sun during the heat of the day. Have I said how wonderful was the invention of A/C? Perfect place to spend a hot day.

Actually, though, when I was young we didn't have A/C. It was rather expensive. We did use swamp coolers, though, and they worked pretty good except when the monsoon hit and it started to get muggy. But, I don't think I had much trouble. I learned very young how to find shade and stay out of the sun unless I had to get in it. And, in the shade, the heat isn't so bad if you've worked up to it by being out in the early morning when it starts to get warm. Sort of builds up your resistance to it. Well, as long as you have a ditch full of cold water or something to dangle your feet in while waiting for the sun to go down.

Actually, the weather at the moment is HORRIBLE. It's just been a storm again and I'm sure (VERY sure) the rain crushed everything left from the farmers' harvest here ... also there were a lot of lightings and thunder (one of them sounded like it burst into a tree or something) and well .. then there was this one thing I've been looking at for TWO FULL WEEKS now -
Rain...
Rain...
Rain ......
No joke, it's been raining here for entirely two weeks now and I'm pissed like hell. I nearly have to swim to school ... at my grandmother's on the other hand it's 28°C - in her flat ... outside it's been hot for this two weeks now, I don't know if and how long she can stand the weather any longer :/
erm, yeah ... so no, I'm not happy. I want it to be 22°C outside, in my room, well about 20°C and SUNSHIIINE. And every three days a bit rain, for that the plants here don't go to hell. :D yeah, a weather change spell... I definitely need one...
