Post Fallout industry building quest. - Mod Idea
The world has been devastated by the Nuclear war and now, 200 years later, mankind is reduced to a quasi stone age lifestyle. However, there is still much remaining of the pre-war technology even though most of it is broken. There is bound to be much pre-war technical knowledge that can be recovered and put to use even if you have to hunt for it. This is where my mod idea comes in.

You are contacted by an entrepreneur who wants to find a factory and fix it up to manufacture {insert item such as ammuniton or other here}. Through a series of quests, it is your job to select the location of the factory, find tools and machine parts for it. Track down skilled scientists and mechanics, and other people with skills.

This mod would probably involve only a minimum of combat but would instead involve hunting for items, use of logic to solve quests, alternate storylines, ect.

One of the many tricks would be to balance it so it doesn't become a cheat but still is interesting and has worthwhile rewards.

This would be a mid/late game mod and could be set to only run after the purifier quest which would mean a dependence on whichever dlc that is.

Anyways, those are the ideas I had. It will certainly be a while before I seriously consider whether I want to attempt such a mod. I still have the CTC to finish after all.

I'd love to make something like that for OB, but I don't think I can fit it in without destroying lore.

Well you could always import a nucular catapult (fatman) into oblivion, it'll fit there as well as it does in fallout :p .

A interesting idea I agree that, with some changes, it can be used in OB. But it´s perhaps best suited with Fo.
I can come with some input if you decide to start with it :)

For srs industry building tho, stick mostly to simpler weapons/items.

Simple Knives and iron/steel items, ditto leather items.

For more high tech, refilling empty brass, tho that would also mean a support industry for the material to create the gunpowder and what not, plus lead for the bullets.

Food of various types, jerked meat should be a biggie.

And water, clean water should be VERY big.
