Hello,

I a have discovered the existence of Dragon Captions mods to today and I must say I am overexcited at the idea on making them run on my Oblivion. But before I must gather maximum information in order to avoid conflict problems. Here are my questions :

1. I just can't understand the difference between Kvatch Rebuilt and Kevatch Aftermath. Does Kvatch Af. offers the possibility to become count of Kvatch ? Do you have to be the hero of Kvatch before ? Is it the "next episode" af Kvatch Rebuilt ? Is Kvatch Rebuilt included in Kvatch Rebuilt ?

2. Steamline and Kill Corpse feature... Where can disactivate it ? I use the last version of Streamline (2.1) and the only options I have are in game with a "signet" item wich offers performance steaks (agressive/very agressive/performance etc)

3. Will there be a merged OMOD of all DC mods ? ^^, hopefully...

4. While looking at Akatosh Fort there is a link to a "Tamriel ressource pack". Is it somethin to do with DC CUORessource Pack ?

the two mods are VERY diffrent.. kr is more into the rebuilding of kvach, where KA is more about governing kvatch as count...

3. nope, probably note, i dont know omod, and the file size would be to big..

4. i dont have rights to fort akatosh, take any questions with that to onra....

but the TR resocue pack, is taken from the DCRP..... so TR is part of DCRP but u are requried to have both packs if u want to use the NEW version of fort akatosh...

maybe u can convince onra to offer the old version.. not sure...

- K.A. or Kvatch Aftermath is a legacy mod that still is available on the internet, i think it was on filefront.
We contributed to that mod, but are not officially supporting it any more.
(There are some older members here [like me] that do give out some help occasionally).
You can become count, yes, if you follow the entire line of quests that are provided. You do not have to be the Hero of Kvatch to start it. It has an additional alternative quest line,
that makes you a hero as well in the end. You can also start it when you are already are the hero. So it's your choice how you play it.

- Kvatch Rebuilt was made by another team, but some folks want to try both and that sometimes gives problems, because not everyone reads the documentation provided as carefully as they should, that's why we provided a few tips in the FAQ on how to avoid these problems. I do not have any experience with that mod however, so I can't give you anymore info on that.

- Streamline v2.1 does not have a kill corpses feature I believe, only the newer 3.0/3.1beta versions have that.

- For this, the already available and yet to be forthcoming DC-mods, you need the DC Resource Pack (DCRP), the DCRP is available in an Omod version, for a link see the downloads section on this forum.

- The Fort Akatosh modder has departed from us and his materials are no longer available to us. So check his modpage(s) on the Nexus for more info.
A.f.a.i..k. he is creating a new version of F.A., that has a newly created resource package that will be provided in the mod download.

If I remember correctly, the streamline kill corpses feature is turned off by default.

Kvatch Rebuilt and Kvatch Aftermath are INCOMPATABLE with each other. Do not run both at the same time. You can play through one and then follow the uninstalation procedure in the readme. That step is VERY important otherwise you could mess up your game. After you have properly uninstalled one mod, you can go through and play the other mod.

If you do install KA, I recommend you do so in a new game or atleast before you do any of the Kvatch quests. The mod completely reworks the Kvatch quests so they are a bit different from the vanilla quests. You don't have to do it in a new game though, the mod is a smart mod and if you have already done those quests, it will correctly configure things for you so you can start from there.


A merged OMOD as stated above is out of the question. Too big. An OMOD version of each mod is a possibility though I don't know of anything in the works yet. Some mods do have OMOD versions already.

i dont know how to make omod versions.. although im considering making a bsa for sutch....

Omod versions... If they are not too big I can take care of some of them

Although I don't know how to script the omod so putting more esps can be a problem

If the are big, I can do them when I find the time. I have incredibly fast upload speeds here at the university.

Download can be a bit slower though especially if there are a lot of other students surfing at the same time.

and the biggest issue with uploads for me.. or us.. is the 300mb cap at nexus... perfile...
