 Getting new vegas?
New vegas soon to launch at fall, Can't wait because of the many potential new vegas in the fallout universe has(an airport? let alone a preserved pre-war city?) (sorry for previous viewer I was thinking about a different company) in all hopes, they are given everything bethesda used to make fallout 3, I know new vegas will stand out, and with an actual pre-war vegas still intact, and who could forget area-51 nearby?(duh... nevada?), things will be interesting. I also have to say, I don't honestly think the enclave are dead, more than likely they put up an outpost in the base of area-51(this place is also mentioned in the first game btw), I mean, that place is all government, it would be weird not to add it in and not add the enclave in it as well(besides it's practically a huge vault, bombs wouldn't penetrate the underground base), oh and also do not disregard the fact that you find many alien tech across your encounters with the enclave stored in their bases.

 Re: Getting new vegas?
I'm still a little confused, Ronin. Is New Vegas going to be a whole new Fallout game or a large DLC to Fallout3?

 Re: Getting new vegas?
Oh. Great! Then, I'm looking forward to it, too. I enjoyed Fallout 3 much more than I thought I would, but I still haven't tried the DLC's yet. I was waiting for the disc copies and now that they're out, I don't have enough money to buy them yet. Perhaps when New Vegas comes out I will have finished all the good things in Fallout 3 and have some spare cash for this one. Speaking of good Fallout 3 ish games: Have you tried any from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series? They play a little like Fallout and are quite fun, but a little harder, I think. At least I've died a lot more often in Shadow of Chernobyl that I did in Fallout.

 Re: Getting new vegas?
Stalker? Not from what I remember no, fallout was the only type of post-apocalyptic game I ever played. Being a long time console player.
I now have a pc sufficient to play rpg's, but of course crysis will have to be turned to medium and shooters like battlefield 2 and mw2 ask too much for requirements, thats what my consoles for, pc for rpg, shooters for console...
Fallout's requirements are smaller than oblivions requirements right?

 Re: Getting new vegas?
Hmm. I always thought the requirements for Fallout3 and Oblivion were about the same. Anyway, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s requirements aren't much different that Fallout's, I think. It reminds me a lot of Fallout, except the NPC's speak in Russian unless they're talking to you. That makes it kind of special to me. Very different and I don't mind repeating rumors - well, actually I don't know if they are repeating them. hehe. The premise isn't post-nuclear war in the series, it's post Chernobyl accident with a couple of "what-if's" thrown in to make an interesting plot. Stalkers in the game are artifact collectors, thieves, and thugs with guns who go into the restricted zone that was evacuated after the accident looking for things that can be sold to make money. Thieves and thugs with guns are not necessarily evil in this game and military guards are not necessarily good. You have to decide and your decisions will make different factions your friends or enemies. I got the game from Steam, but it should be available wherever you find PC games. I don't know if it's on any of the console formats or not.

 Re: Getting new vegas?
I've heard that fallout tends to run better than oblivion because oblivion's trees are massive resource drains.

 Re: Getting new vegas?
I hadn't heard that. Thanks for pointing it out, Brasilian. It does make sense when you think about it. Trees and probably grass. Fallout doesn't spend too much on that, either.
