Won't ever happen. The UL mods are created by multiple independent modders, each working in isolation on their own area, each working at their own pace. If all ULs were to make use of a single ESM, the project would need much tighter control, with someone in charge of the ESM, merging new data in from the various modders and ensuring they are all using the same version of the ESM and that none of them are overriding sections of it.
And here I now quote Malachit:
Quote:
1.) It would mean that we pull apart all existing UL-mods, assign the file-paths again and connect them to a master file.
The previous UL versions would suddenly no longer compatible with the new versions and the confusion of the users perfect.
2.) Who is to administer these esm, who adds all the new content? This with existing mods to do so is relatively easy, but what about the mods, which are currently is in work ? There every modder needs the same time these esm, one changes this, the other one that one. The next modder hasn't got much savvy what he needs, so he pushes a huge resource package in the master file (for latter example occur to me equal 2 candidates, who are predestined for this).
3.) UL-modders are not an organized union, but every modder makes his mod according to his own ideas and experiences. Some of our modders can get on maximally with the CS, with additional tools some people can not handle. If they want to use new resources, they also need additional tools to use, otherwise they can not involve these resources and would be dependent on the assistance other one constantly.
4.) Not all modders want, that their new models or textures in other mods can be used. If these are however only once in the esm, this would mean sharing for all.
5.) The installation would be for the user does not simplify. ESM then belonged to the meshes folder, textures, sound, Trees. ESP belonged to the folder DistantLOD, Meshes (\Landscape\LOD).
Stupid user: uh, Meshes 2x, 1x enough yet. I don't need that. And already there are again new problems.
