Post Happy Columbus Day!
I know a lot of you are international, but it's Columbus Day here in the States, and most of the Americas celebrate Dia de la Raza (the day of the race). :WOOT:

Thank you Columbus, for following your convictions that the world was indeed round. My apologies to anyone who is Native American, but I am glad that the Americas were found. So to any that might be reading this, Happy Native American Day (which I read is celebrated in South Dakota). :)

Yes, I know my 3rd grade history, but fat load of good that did...he didn't have Spain behind him, either. And you can't put down Columbus, he didn't know Leif Erikson found them before, he still took a pretty big risk just heading out here. Before you say it, yes, I am also aware he was looking for the Indies, but we still consider him the founder of the Americas, and in the states, we celebrate Columbus Day. Feel free to celebrate Leif Erikson Day (another holiday is fine by me :) ).

:)

I'll pretty much celebrate anything

If you examine most holidays, they are pretty much all historically inaccurate, but hey, some people need an excuse to kick back and have fun (not so for me..hehe)

Oh, and speaking of German, Happy Oktoberfest :D
