First off, How do deal Skooma. I finished the quest and bought from the contact but I have no idea what to do with it in IC other than sell it below cost. There has to be something im missing right?





I saw on the FAQ for The Elder council that there is a Become Emporer add-on.

I have been searching everywhere for a way to become emporer and got really excited when I saw this.

But it is nowhere to be found. There wasnt a link and I cannot see it anywhere on TESnexus.

Even if the download isnt available any more someone HAS to have it somewhere. Someone involved with TEC has to have used it if for nothing else but testing. There is no way that everyone deleted it from their PC and it is gone forever.....

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there and welcome to D.C.!

Depending on the number of infamy you have and how you evolved during the rest of Oblivion and T.E.C. you can sell skooma to addicts for a fair price/extort inn keepers and you climb through the military ranks faster then when you normally do your patrols. (This alone in TEC, there are more options if you use other add-on mods or run through for example the thieves guild quests).
Keep your infamy below 25 though or you will be expelled.

For the Emperor add-on mod, it was not made by anyone from D.C. to my knowledge, so you have to contact the creator about it.
If he decided to remove it from the public domain, that his right and in this case you also should contact him on how to proceed.

I have no idea who made the add-on, what it was called or anything else. I just want to be emporer and it seems I can't.

I find it impossible to imagine that there isnt an option somewhere. People have spent countless hours modding tons of ideas that I would never have thought of and this is one of the most obvious and rewarding ideas possible. Is there something I don't get about this? I mean people have made dozens of different kinds of Elf characters but nobody wants to be the emporer but me???????



What other Mods/Quests make use of this system. I have Kvatch Aftermath for example, are there extra options within that mod/other mods due to TEC? What kind of options?

If this is the case that is really cool. I have been trying to find ways to expand the gameplay (particularly evil/corrupt options for my demon). I will get all the other D.C. mods if they do.

Are there any benifits to becoming Duke/Duchess? Since it looks like I cannot ever be emporer since nobody else thought it was worth modding I would like to get as much power/title as possible.

Oh ya......where the hell is Arenthia? Im sure it is a stupid question but I dont see it anywhere.

I loaded my older character on the same PC without making any changes to the game or mods and he DOES have the options with Ocato......

The only differences between the two saves are:

The one that works is male the other is female,

The working save has completed the main quest the other hasnt,

The working save never joined the Legion, the broken one used mostly legion activities to advance in imperial rank.



When I disable COBL and switch the ESP accordingly the Mod resets itself.

With the working save (saved without the mod) It does the same thing with either ESP (auto promotes to Count and works)

With the broken save it removes me from the legion (except the Cuirass is still there) and only advances me to knight of the realm (although it says Baron/Baroness features added at the top)


This is terribly confusing to me. The only things I can think of is that finishing the main quest changes the way Ocato acts (although you shouldnt have to touch the main quest right?)...........Or that somehow the other character was never given the features associated with the rank of Baron/Baroness.

The only way to even know is to play enough to get promoted again but I really dont want to do all that just to end up not being able to continue anyway......

The main question(s) I have is can I ever visit Arenthia without doing the main quests? and are there any special bonuses/rewards for doing so?

If the answers are no then I can do the quests with the other character for the fun of it and just advance without them with my Demon, this isnt ideal but less painful

If I have to do the quests to visit Arenthia then I really need to find a way to make it work.

Some tried to make a mod for this, as an addon to TEC, it was up at TES NEXUS for a while a couple years ago, but then deleted. IIRC form the comments is was rather bugged.
Just use the console the make your self Emperor. Use it to set ownership of the interior cell for the throne room and emperors quarters, and any items therein, use it to place yourself into the place factions. Ther is an Emperor faction, but that was used to control AI conversation topics for Uriel, Baurus and the other two blades during the tutorial quest.

I'm not sure what you're trying to do here. It sounds to me like you are trying to get extra options for Ocato without loading DC-TEC in your game (in one version)? I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding you.

Without TEC you shouldn't be getting any extra options for Ocato save the vanilla ones or ones provided by another mod. If you have TEC, you will receive quests from Ocato, but only after you've advanced a certain point in the legion and after you've completed the vanilla main quest.

You can visit Arenthia any time (with TEC loaded). You will find it southeast of Skingrad. However, you won't get any quests there until you reach that part of the main TEC quest. The quests that were added to Arenthia are a continuation of Ocato's quests you receive after the main, vanilla, quest is completed. They won't make sense otherwise.

As for the Be the Emporer mod, it was up on Nexus for awhile. I have not heard or seen anything from the modder in a long time, however. From some of the threads I have read about the subject, a lot of people aren't interested in being the emporer because there really isn't much for the Emporer to do other than wander his palace and rooms. Or, at least people couldn't think of much they could set up for him to do. If you have a demon character who wants to be emporer, I think there's a whole field of ideas out there for you to create your own mod. It could be rather interesting to see how Cyrodiil reacts to a demon ruler. Good luck.

Having ended the main quest should not be a prerequisite, because my character has never even really started the main quest and I was able to do all of T.E.C.'s quests.

It looks like the problems then seem to be with either a part of Cobl, or you being a normally not playable/evil race (Demon/Dremora)and the disposition of Ocato towards your character is very low and the topic does not appear. (How is your illusion skill, toss him a powerful charm spell and see what happens?)

(I am not sure from your info, whether your old character is a normal being or also a Demon/Dremora?)

Arenthia can be reached and traversed through, without doing any of T.E.C.'s quests, yes.

hello, i remember the become the emaperor mod myself, it was taken down before i ever became a private modder even, but now that i am a member of a good modding team, if its ok with everyone, i can make a new remake of that mod. if this is ok just let me know guys.

im not sure on the legalities and abilites of dc team to authorise this... but i have no issues with you remakeing it and relasing it for the dc tec

Breakingdown? I think you might be better off making this mod in such a way that it is complemented by DC-TEC but doesn't depend on it. There may very well be some large changes to DC-TEC in the near future and you don't want your work to become broken.
