Thank you for the invitation, Misnomer. If I had the ability to come, I'd really try. I'm hoping our day will be fun and I do look forward to the fireworks. I love watching those. Not too fond of doing them myself, though. I always get too nervous about starting fires. But, these will be professional, so I expect to enjoy them.

You can celebrate, too, Lalwende, if you want. We celebrate a whole lot of foreign special days around here; Chinese New Year, Japanese New Year, German Oktober Fest. One of the biggest is Cinco de Mayo, or the Mexican Independence day. Parades, festivals, and especially good food on that day (May 5th, by the way). I don't know if they celebrate ours, but the Phillipines does. They have a holiday on July 4th called, Friendship Day (at least a Phillipino co-worker told me that). I guess in this country, we just like to celebrate.

Thank you Nowena. We prefer to have days-off than celebrate in fact But nothing in near future. There is a major Feast on August 15th and the best option if it's Thursday. Then we can get free Friday as well No luck this time. It's Saturday and Saturdays are already a weekend
