Historically correct "Castles"
Once upon a time, there was a big fat ugly Man living some place in Germany nobody cares about. One day, he got a new Job at some Dig site. Turns out this was an Archeological Dig Site. Things have gone a little akward there for the local Village Mayor, because he wanted to know why this old Hill in the Forest near the Village was called "the Keep"...
So he drove up there with a Dredger and digged a bit, untill he crushed a Piece of Keep-Wall.
Archeological Institutions in the next big town where pissed, as this little "Keep" was perfectly secure under 3 meters of Earth and could have lasted another three Centuries. But no, the Mayor just had to dig there, at the Time when an ICE Track was being build in the jurisdiction of the Archeological Institute. If something big is build somewhere, archeologists have to be there in case something of Importance is found. Turns out that the Contractors there plowed through a previously unknown Piece of the "Limes", the Roman fortification Wall running right through that Part of Germany.
So the People there where spread pretty thing already. The Mayor was like "We need some big ugly strong Men!" and i was like "You rang?"
So i helped dig up what would had to be the smallest most insignificant Keep in the whole World.
Three Years later, we where done. A 15x15 meter Square, 3,20 meter thick stone Wall. Not much left there, it was about a meter high.
We managed to pinpoint the Date where this may have been build. About 1289 seems right. The Style fits and i do know something about the Styles, i was one of those People who drew every single Rock on this Contraption. Literally, every single Stone.
And then, it was all buried again because nobody had the Money to conserve this Thing.
Another five Years later, the Mayor pulls some Money from somewhere, probably out of his Behind and gets the Idea to dig up the Keep again and rebuild it.
Very well then, build whatever you want, nobody knows how this thing could have looked like. Everything we dug up was below Ground at the time.
Some of the Villagers however are pretty avid. "A genuine historical Keep? Whoa! Sure, its the most boring Keep in the World, but it's a fucking Keep!"
Now you may be asking yourself: "What should i care when and why this dipshit mugged around in old dirt?"
Well, one of this Villagers has a Son who plays Oblivion. I whipped some Superweapons together for him once and his Father got the Idea if it where possible to recreate something that would allow People to virtually walk around inside something that resembles something like the old Keep.
"Well," i said, "Bethesda has done nothing historically accurate here and they didn't want to. Trying to build something accurate here, even with the little Information we do have, with the Construction Set is like asking a Navigation System to make up a route to Cincinnati and the System says 'I don't know that Place. Wanna go to Moscow or Vladivostok?'."
But then again, something like that has never been done. After three Years, never has anyone tried to recreate a historical Site.
But the little Information we have about this is actually a good thing. As long as you stay somewhat true to the measurements you can't do anything that's provably wrong.
Of course, there are some other Things that should be mentioned; practicality. People didn't build Stuff to look good. People couldn't build certain Stuff. A Ceiling made out of Stone just wasn't possible, they made grout out off chalk and Hen's Eggs.
We didn't even find any Stones to make up a Floor in the "Cellar"...
Now for the Construction Kit. I'm going to make a "Cellar" with Tiles from the Forts. 3x3 Tiles should be enough. This will be the most boring Fort ruin Room you ever saw. Sure, i said there was no stone Ceiling, i'm thinking to either let that one Slide or just move some wooden Tiles up there. Hopefully the Clipping wont be to ugly.
Same Thing goes for the Floor. No Stone. So i want to lay some Cavetiles in there in Hopes that the Clipping wont be too ugly.
I still have to learn to work with the CS properly, so this may take some Years. Hopefully, i will have mastered the CS in time when TES5 comes out

Well, after the Cellar i'll run into some difficulties: I want to make up something like the Bruma Houses. Stone wall for the first meter or maybe two meters and wood above that. This should be ground level.
The difficulty here is this: There are no tiles to make something like that.
Now the Question: Has anybody ever made something like that or is there some .nif Database somewhere that may contain something i can use?
