My Oblivion Game is now started
If you have never lost the use of the tilde ~ key you will not understand how excited I am to have it back. I have used the excellent mod 'Console Ring' in the past but having the ~ key is such a pleasure.
I have the following mods installed. : Oblivion.esm (DC) County Sutch Reborn Master.esm DLCShiveringIsles.esp Alternative_Start_by_Robert_Evrae[1].esp Landmarks, w Wells.esp Enhanced Grabbing.esp MODRoadRogue.esp RenGuardOverhaul.esp
Not much but at least I am started and can add as I go along.

Re: My Oblivion Game is now started
Hmm. I don't have most of those in my game, so please feel free to let me know how they do.
Latest activities in my game: Cleaned out Fort Blueblood and was pleasantly surprised to find a full set of Quartz armour on one of the marauders. What a great find! I think that's the first time I've found that ingame. And, each piece is already enchanted. I think it's a random find, though. I've done the fort before and didn't find that. Also, my brother-in-law told me he found the armour in a different location.
After I finished that, the game decided it was time to move Vilja's quest along a bit more. Interesting and definitely enjoyable. I think if you install her, you should definitely download and install the mod that adds an extra bed for companions in the inn. She complains if she doesn't find one - even though she has a bedroll to use when necessary. (And, I do feel a bit guilty taking the only bed.)
I am curious. What is MODRoadRogue?

Re: My Oblivion Game is now started
MODRoadRogue.esp is new to me. Carabas found a modder who makes nice female armor not bikini armor but attractive armor. He is using the Iron Maiden for his female Redguard very attractive looking but a bit busty for my taste. I have the Rogue armor. From the screenshots I am not that taken with it but thought I would try it out. My character is pure rogue. I am having a hard time keeping her alive but she is getting good at running. Alternate Start by Ship is just that you start out on a ship in either Anvil or the Waterfront. You generate you Character by filling out immigration papers and you have some choices that decide some extra skills and equipment and how much money you start with. I have used it several times and you can ignore the MQ. You can still do the Kvatch Oblivion gate and battle if you wish. You have to install and activate before you start the game. I also have a hair mod that doesn't show in the list. Landmarks with wells adds the wayside shrines and Alyled wells you visit to the world map, a must have for me. Enhanced Grabbing I have mentioned before. You can pick up things and move them around without getting accused of stealing. Just don't put them in your inventory. COBL is overwhelming me. I just do not know how to install it. Do I need it for Crafty Bits? My character should be able to do some crafting. She has good marksmanship and alchemy. Low blade skills. She is a stealth artist not a melee fighter. I am practicing up for Skyrim as I intend to do a Khajiit Rogue first. Role Playing? I intend to dl Vilja and related mods. I have OBSE of course. Oh, I have the Guard Overhaul mod but it doesn't show on the list. The one that takes away that psychic ability Ob Guards have. I can get the links easily because they are on TESNEXUS.

Re: My Oblivion Game is now started
I'm pretty sure the latest Crafty Bits requires OBSE, but I don't think it requires Cobl. Cobl just makes it easier for me - I put my tools and early harvest stuff in the Luggage and then do my crafting on the dock at Anvil. I can also build a fire just off the docks, in the sand. Well, I suppose I could build it on the dock there, but that doesn't help immersion too much. I keep expecting the docks to burn up. Cobl gives a few extra things in Shadowcrest Winery and Red Rose Manor, besides just the Luggage, I believe. One, it provides a cool Alchemy sorter and a sorter for your potions as well, but you don't have to have those. Also, it provides the dinner plate if you want one of the hunger mods and both houses support that, plus the well will provide water. Thank you for the info on the other mods. I have something that provides decent female armour, but I'm not sure which one. For instance, the quartz armour fits very nicely. And, would actually provide protection in a battle. (Maybe that is from Better Bodies? Or, the clothes package for Better Bodies that I also have loaded.)

Re: My Oblivion Game is now started
I got the armor. There is a cheap outfit that provides 19 armour points. There is a backpack with 20 points of feather and an amulet that gives 30 points of shield. The expensive armour provides 24 points of armour. I am am enthralled by the outfit. Not bad looking, I will put up a screenshot on FaceBook. It isn't what I would choose for stealth armour. I have to see how it looks in the dark.
I would like to have COBL and I don't know what the problem is. I have used it before and don't remember having a problem installing. How is the dinner plate working I remember having problems with it.

Re: My Oblivion Game is now started
I looked over my Cobl download. There is some meshes and sounds in the folder with the esp's. They just need to be dropped in the Data folder along with whichever esp's you want to load. The only hard part I can see is picking out which esp's you want to load. First, the core ones - several of those are necessary, but clearly labeled - and then several to be added on if you want them. They are all in subfolders. Inside the "Core" subfolder, there is "Doc" folder with instructions in both html and txt. The instructions list each esp and when and whether you might want to install it (if you are using particular other mods).
I'm not using the hunger and thirst mods right now, so I don't know how the dinner plate is working. Also not using the required sleep mod, though I do have "See you sleep" loaded and have decided to take regular nighttime breaks in beds. I discovered it was more of a pain to be required to do those things, particularly during a long dungeon crawl. But, there is nothing that prevents me from just doing them.
Saw the pic in Facebook. Armour looks pretty cool.

Re: My Oblivion Game is now started
Correction: The backpack adds 50 points of feather but costs over 1000 gold. The amulet almost 8000 and the better armour 1000 gold. It blends in to the dark fairly well except for the arms. The short sleves leave the arms bare and they show up in the dark. Might be alright for a dark skinned person. I am playing a female Dunmer and the greenish gray color shows up in the dark. I will take another look at COBL and then it is time to see if I can download Crafty Bits. I need something to spruce up the landscape too. I have several possibilities for that. I also need my wells back and I don't remember the name of the mod. I like hunger and thirst but I also gave up on the sleep mods. They are too intrusive. Fatigue is a realistic one to have. Thank you for the help. edit: I found the mod I was looking for: ff_real_thirst. It adds water sources to the game. It may conflict with other mods that add things to the towns. It changes the vanilla wells to be working wells. You can also buy water from some of the vendors. You get a water bag and can buy more Here is the link if you are interested. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14214# You only need the first file "Full" if you do not have an older version installed..

Re: My Oblivion Game is now started
You may not need that well mod. Crafty Bits supports ff_re_thirst and makes the wells in the game "gatherable". Just CB key them and you receive 3 bottles of clean water. (This might require Cobl, I don't know. Check the CB guide to be sure.) And, I believe Cobl also makes wells gatherable IF you have a thirst mod loaded. (It will notice Cobl, I'm told. RealHunger is the same. It is supposed to recognize Cobl in the list. But, check the Docs information in the download for Cobl to be sure.) If you collect water from lake or stream, it is dirty water, but you can clean it for drinking by cooking it in the cookpot. (CB feature - the cooking part.) According to Munch and Ben, Crafty Bits supports at least three survival mods, Real Hunger, Vim and Vigor, and, I believe the one you have. But, it is also spelled out in the guide. Don't know about the water bags, though. The Horse Management mod also provides water troughs (bought at a friendly vanilla vendor) and oats, carrot, and apple bins that you can place in your personal stable. Also, blankets to keep your horse warm. Might be handy if you spend a lot of time in Bruma, I think. Some of them include a dwemer heater of some sort. My current character is also a Dunmer. She is a Battlemage, sent to Cyrodiil by the Telvanni to do some "business". I think the guard caught her shortly after arrival. Since then, she's been a bit "distracted" but still trying to collect info for her House. Vilja thinks she's a bit of a dogooder, but actually she is a spy, looking for legion weaknesses (so she joined the legion), and various artifacts that she's been made aware of. Which is why Vilja thinks she's a dogooder. She takes on any side quest that promises to add to the material she needs. So far, she hasn't been swayed by Kvatch problems in the least. That doesn't appear to affect Telvanni needs, so she's ignoring it for the moment. I suspect she will eventually get caught up in it all. I don't know what time we will be leaving, but if I don't get back on here for a couple of days, hope everything goes well with you. And, I will let you know as soon as I get home. For landscape sprucing, I am using Qarl's Redomized, but that is a pretty heavy load for a computer. I think there is a light, or optimized version, though.

Re: My Oblivion Game is now started
My computer can carry a heavy load. I guess I haven't posted my specs here. I should so ya'll can weep with envy. Cost enough. I still need to do some .ini tweaks just haven't had the strength to hunt them down and then figure out what I did before. My character doesn't have an interesting background like yours. She is pure and simple a rogue out for what she can find Fled VVardenfall one hop ahead of the cops and managed to persuade the emigration office at Anvil that she was pure as the driven ash. I will keep an eye on things. Have fun.

Re: My Oblivion Game is now started
This will be a long post I hope as I will just keep adding to it until you get back. COBL - Dl must have been corrupted as I couldn't unzip it. RE-dl and unzipped. Installed some stuff. Left out anything to do with races. Will update after I play a little. COBL is working but it conflicts with FF_Real_Thirst mod. I will need a hunger mod now. Losing FF_Real+_Thirst is like losing a friend I have used it for so long. I actually feel guilty turning it off. Does that mean I have played too much Oblivion. Redecoration is back up on NEXUS here is the link: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24498# Warning: be sure and read the readme. You need a pluggy. I think this is the current one. http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23979#More FF_Real_Thirst has a COBL version. It is working 100% but there are no crashes and the wells work etc. I think I need the Bash Mod but am hesitant to use it as I do not know how good or how stable the new one is. Some general comments on some of the mods. TavernGoers: It does add bodies into the various inns and taverns. Generic rumours. At least the inns don't look so unoccupied. FF_REal_Thirst: You may buy one well which is nice to place if you have a house with a yard and would like to put one. You may also purchase barrels of water. There is also a camping package but a bit heavy to carry around. Haven't used it this game and if I recall correctly it is transportable but I am not sure. You may need to choose a permanent location. I remember having a mod that did that but not which mod. Redecorator: A fun but dangerous mod. What I like is that you can take a 'picture' of an item, save and later recall and place the item were ever you wish. If you have mods that add unique items it is handy because you can capture items to place some where totally unrelated to the original mods. Any questions ask me as I have used it for a long time and I think I know its pluses and pitfalls. I added "see yourself sleep" it is interesting. I couldn't OMOD it though. I don't know what I do wrong but I have problems with the mods that are not actually OBMM but have a conversion package. Everything seems to be working well. I have no in game crashes, not one. I can exit to the main menu. The only problem I have had is exiting to the desktop. I am going slowly and testing out each mod as I install it. This way I know if it is that mod or not. Then I can twiddle around to see what is wrong. Nowena, you might find this mod of interest "Suumon Luggage" The modder has some interesting other mods primarily for mages. I have used the "Summon Luggage" before. He also has portable sorters. Here is a link to his TESNEXUS profile and list of mods. : http://www.tesnexus.com/modules/members ... id=1159087Accidentally ran across some mods by CL Shade and have added his Shady shoes. Adds a bonus or penalty depending on the foot-gear or armour. Players choice. Added Axbanes Hunters mod and his real hunger and thirst. It is not COBL and does change vanilla objects. I used it a while ago but stopped because there were conflicts. I remember it messed up a FG quest by G. So far I haven't found a COBL hunger mod and I know there is one because I used it some time ago. FF)Real_Thirst seems to be working properly but I have no idea what will happen with two mods that affect thirst. I also added on Paul's recommendation FastExit 2. I believe it was recommended here by some one but I didn't have Obloivion installed. It does seem to be working. I have had only one in-game crash and that was because I didn't install a mod correctly. Installing it correctly has fixed that. No crashes, nad, none, nunca, nada. I really need Sloth's horse mod basic. I can't stand those reinless horses. Really annoys me. Update: Found Real Hunger, COBL and have replaced Axbane's Mods He has nice mods but they are not COBL friendly and change vanilla objects. Have added New Have, Owl's Cove and Skingrad Guard Towers. Also Enchantments restore over time .
