Of the five quests mods choose your favorite.
We all love quests and adventurers and there are quite a few quests available for Oblivion. We have chosen five popular mods and ask you to choose your favorite. Non of these were made by the Dragon Caption Team If you have a different favorite choose #6 and please post its name and a brief description. It should NOT be a mod made by the Dragon Caption Team.

Re: Of the five quests mods choose your favorite.
I haven't played any of the above, alas, but I really liked: "The lost Spires" by "Liquid Graph/Leo Gura" and "Bartholm" by "J. Sera".
"The Spires" plays just like a detective story and ends up close to home. It's quite a catchy story & the graphics are outstanding. "Bartholm" is very funny and also has some nice stories, one bigger, about the Moarmer, for example.

I haven't played and must be honest and say I forgot about it. Have certainly heard of it. Your description makes me want to play. Sounds like my kind of mod.

Re: Of the five quests mods choose your favorite.
Both mods mentioned by Kosh are great. J. Sera also has a FO3 Town mod named Rockville Commons. Bartholm has some very 'distinctive' characters. Also, if you love the vanilla voices, then I'm not sure if you would like this one. The VAs have a very distinctive french accent Rockville Commons also includes some nods to Bartholm. Something to do with rat meat

Re: Of the five quests mods choose your favorite.
Thank you, Harmy. As to the vanilla voices I distinctly remember posting a thread on another site regarding voice acting. Glenvar Castle if you have not played it is excellent. Voice acting could have been better but unfortunately good voice actors are hard to come by. Especially when they are working for beans. I found the getting of the quest a bit disruptive but that happens in Vanilla Oblivion to. Here we are out to save the world from being destroyed and we have to stop and chase down abducted maidens, lost brothers, save a farm of goblins. ??? There must be a better way of doing this.

Re: Of the five quests mods choose your favorite.
Well, I haven't played any of the mods in the choices yet, but of the ones listed, I'm most interested in trying Verona House, so I chose that one. I have played most of Lost Spires, though (I'm still working through it during my last visit to Tamriel) and it is a very interesting and visual mod. I am enjoying it immensely, but I fear it has distracted me from saving the world. Oh well. Kvatch and Martin can wait until I find that important artifact. hehe.

Glenvar Castle is fantastic. Haven't played Lost Spires but I think now I would like to.

I think my favourite would be Ruined-tail's tale, well it is more of a companion MOD but I loved the story to do with it.

Re: Of the five quests mods choose your favorite.
Hmh, not sure, though The Lost Spires is freaking great and I'm always impressed by the energy some people put into their mods... so many hours of work... so many problems solved... etc. Since I'm facing serious this-mod-is-vanishing-though-it's-active-in-obmm-issues, I can't play Heart of the Dead and Ruined Tails Tail... but when I'm reinstalling it, here I am again! haha.
