Post OMOD questions
I am learning to use OMOD and have gotten to the point I am able to convert a downloaded mod into OMOD form but this issue just came up.

I downloaded Imperial City Sutch and converted it to OMOD . When I activated it I got a message that it conflicted with Mehunes Razor. Something about duplication and that it is not an OMOD format

I have not OMODed the DLCs. Should I OMOD them? I hope I am making sense but this OMOD thing is new to me.

Post Re: OMOD questions
I wouldn't. But, that is only because I had so much trouble installing the DLC's that I had to have a Beth tech walking through it with me (on the phone while I worked on the computer). I haven't had the courage to fool with them since.

Also, I have never heard of a conflict with Mehunes Razor before. Maybe you have, Sythe? The razor dlc is mostly happening to the SE side of Cheydinhal, I believe, and Sutch is clear on the other side of the map.

I was surprised too because of the locations. I'll try to get more information.

Hi Nakia,

Glad you're back with us!

I concur with Nowena: OMod-ing the DLC's is generally not recommended.
(I never heard of anybody doing it as well so far).

Conflicting with the Razor, that's also a first...

This mod, is it D.C.'s County Sutch mod: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16815 ?
Than indeed maybe Scythe could elaborate more on the matter, as it is not quite bug free yet.
Hold-on, this duplication error, does it refer to NPC's/characters? That is indeed one of the above mentioned bugs..., see also: dc-sutch-reborn-t69-320.html

I advise to not OMOD this mod yet, before some of the last bugs are ironed out.
Please install it, for now, just as the provided documentation indicates.

Post Re: OMOD questions
It is the Sutch Reborn mod and I did OMOD it. If that is a problem it should be easy to delete. Now I have another questions should I use County Sutch or Sutch Reborn or both?

Thanks for telling me about the DLCs as I got the impression somewhere that people or least a person did OMOD them. I don't want to fool around with them unless the concuss is that it is a good idea which I gather it isn't.

ello nak, good to see you :) i have had some real life issues that have prvented me form being active, good to come back and see not only the forums active, but by such a good old friend as you :)

as for sutch... the razor... the only dlc that did not add ANY new content (meshes/textures/animations/ ect) to the game world, only the quest... the razor was acutly in the base game...

as for sutch... there is no telling it edits thousands of diffrent things that it shouldnt... its a ka in its own right (a cleaners nightmare :P haha) there are numerous bugs that i hope to iron out in version 9.5... but that is a ways off

as for County Sutch verses Sutch Reborn, or both ;) i recomend using County Sutch, but u can use both if u so desire... the optimal solution (all though it may sitll cause a slowdown) is to use County sutch reborn, and County Sutch - New Haven... :) but that is still a bit off aswell

ps, i only know how to install an omod, nothing more ;)

Thank you Scythe, sorry to hear about real life problems. I can certainly emphasize.

As to installing OMODS, I consider that an accomplishment in itself. I am finally getting the hang of it. The main reason I like that feature is that it makes it easy to uninstall.

If you recommend County Sutch Reborn and CS-New Haven I'll go with that. But if you need a tester remember I am here.

note=Spell check insists that is no such word as 'uninstall'???

Post Re: OMOD questions
Most data conflicts deteced by OBMM do not matter, they are duplicates, the same resource in both mods, with the notation that "CRCs Match".
Many others are umimportant, just a little aestheticly displeasing when you have some overlap of static objects or landscape changes. Even serious ones of this nature can usualy be played thru, with the mod you are currently playing the quest for later in the load order. IE: the near identical placements of a house near the Cheydinhal East Gate by The Lost Spires and Valley View Estate.

I've heard that the obmm's conflict detector was not very reliable, and that its errors were usually unimportant

That is my experience with it. It might be of some value in helping you to find or isolate a serious conflict but is limited in use.
