Post What makes a game, special to you...
Is it the writing of the dialouge and story?
Is it the awe inspiring music that goes with it?
Is it the gorgeous graphics?
Or is it the amazing gameplay?

What makes a game special to you?

A game is special to me if I can get "into" it and lose track of time, more than once or twice. (Whether by story, graphics, or gameplay.)

I agree to a great extent with Nowena. If the game is immerse to me it is a good game. However the overall integration of a game is important to me. It is what makes a good game a great game for me. Does the story hold together? Do the quests whether major or minor fit in with the overall story or do they break the story line.

:D Of course for me it is rather important that I be able to read things that need reading. Graphics have become more important to me than they used to be. The more vocalization there is the better for me.

Yeah, but my hearing isn't what it used to be (too many years working in a Stamping plant), so I guess I'm the opposite. I need to be able to read what was said because like as not, I'll hear some of the words wrong or miss them completely.

 Nowena, between you, me and jez we might make up one complete person. At least we are all ambulatory.

:D Now, if only we could get together and run a character. Think how quick and effective she'd be.

 What a wonderful idea, nowena. Unfortunately it seems that not one of the three of us has some extra money to arrange a get together. :( What a team we would make.

jez is in Oregon, you are in Arizona, I am in New Jersey. Hmm looks like you are sort of centrally located so guess what? Yep, you got it we will meet at your house. :PartyTime:

:) At least we all three like cats. Meow. Now all we need is money and a really good game.

Good graphics, audio, story, game play and dialogue.
