Re: Possible new DLC could be Planned
Hmm..that would be interesting, I would like to see which ones the devs would use, when they play...ones that they wish they thought of

Re: Possible new DLC could be Planned
Or wish PCs were capable of back when the game was released. The concept art of the cities and a number of incongruous Tamriel worldspace cell names (e.g. AnvilArena) clearly show that the cities were all badly scaled down in size and content in the final game. We must assume this was because computers weren't capable of what they'd intended rather than that they simply couldn't be bothered to create the larger cities planned.

olegaolega wrote: I would want then to package the dev teams favourite mods and then put them all into one big package That would actualy be pretty intersting. TBH what they should do is fire todd howard. Then they should get back to the basics, less HDR bloom, more scale/roleplay. BTW, question, the vanilla area of cyrodil in obliv, has anyone ever done a map with a scale in miles/kilometers on it ? It'd be really intersting to see how 'far' apart some places are. Of course that would also be an awsome mod idea...... take the map+worldspace, and make it 100x larger and such, and re-do all the various areas with buildings so their landscaped areas still look propper, then just re-vamp fast travel so you can either go only so far at a time and/or you also have a chance when fast traveling to get stopped mid travel (assuming you're following roads, then trains, then straightline path to destination). Anyway my guess is they're doing one of the following 1- New massive expansion: IE: adding a provence to the worldspace, or multiple provences, sold via retail primarily (and/or packaged with origonal game) or some kind of huge addition. Most likley to create massive drama in the mod community due to breaking many top mods 2- SUPRISE TES:V 3- a few new DLC quests added together with all of the DLC, and sold via retail 4- Paid Alpha Tester slots for TES:V, $50 MSRP But yeah, if they DO do a big udpate/change, Im expecting to laugh really hard eitehr way, cause eitehr it will create massive drama among the moding community due to breaking so many mods, or so many people wont get it because it does what the unoffical patches and mods do, but not as good. Oh, yeah, if they were too add spears/crossbows/thrownweps/horsecombat I would also enjoy it. EDIT: Oh, if they were to, you know, actualy make it a RPG that would be cool too.

Re: Possible new DLC could be Planned
hehe intersting views on some thigns... hehe i agree, wish horsecombat, spears, crossbows made it into the game... im still amazed at all that was left out of ob, as aposed to morrowind, morrowind had i belive an extra year in production than oblivion did, and had alot more in it than ob did... its amazing to see all that was cut...
i still perfer morrowind over ob to be honest, but ob has the updated graphics, and that is where the community is at... few bother with morrowind now, which is a shame....
ps... the topic was related to the sale of oblivion with bioshock.... hehe
there have been anouncments bout a possible tes5... but they seem discoruging.. probably to build hype... or so i hope

Re: Possible new DLC could be Planned
Well as I recall morrowind had less skills/roleplay than daggerfall Oblivion had less skills/roleplay than morowind TES:V will proably have less skills/roleplay than oblivion, based on the facts of what HAS happend so far, as bethesda seems to be devoted to the click and kill console fanboy now.

Re: Possible new DLC could be Planned
Oh yeah, as much as I thourghly HATE them for Fallout3 (yes, I'm one of those glittering gems of hatred from the fallout community during the Interplay days, and remember when they shut down the BOS section of the forums when BOS came out for xbawks, and promptly not only bombed in sales, but those that did buy it came to the forums to bash how bad it was) I hope they succed by producing good RPGs. Or at least easily modded into a godo RPG.
