 Re: dwarfs
You break lore just by having living dwarves!

 Re: dwarfs
Just to play Devil's Advocate, I don't think having dwarves necessarily breaks the lore. Just the snapshot of the lore you get by playing TES... although Yagrum Bagarn was called the last living dwarf, he himself says that the dwemer may have been misplaced to an Outer Realm, like he did, and survived. It unfolds by hearing rumors of the last living dwarf...and when you talk to him, he simply doesn't know what happened to anyone else... there haven't been any bodies...which leaves it kind of open; it's called the disappearance of dwarves, not the annihilation of them. Even though OB didn't delve into that any further, it doesn't mean there can't be a sideline story in the future..only that Beth hasn't gone there yet.

 Re: dwarfs
that is a good point misnomer... i could do something along the lines of.. possibly.. the saints rescued a tribe of dwemer, from an outerrelm.. about 10 or so.. and then through out the centeries since their disaperance after the battle of red mountian, they repopulated this old stronghold of the saints... and work their... that is a thought.... but i need to see how well "AccepteD" that is first...

 Re: dwarfs
oi! i just had an idea, for my Tree-house! mod i could add to the lore saying that the saint's dead body was original gurded by 5 sacred dwarves, but then eventualy growing, In underground fortresses, which fits chareristics of dwarves, mineing and out of touch w/ the rest of tamrial! hows that?

Even though OB didn't delve into that any further, it doesn't mean there can't be a sideline story in the future..only that Beth hasn't gone there yet. While there weren't any bodies, there were piles of ash all over the Dwemer ruins on Vvardenfell, at the spots where a dwarf was when they all disappeared. This could be the remains of a body, or it could be the result of some matter-displacement between dimensions (meaning each Dwemer in one dimension got swapped with a load of dust or ash from another dimension - must be real dusty wherever they all ended up if this is the case!) Anyway, lore is nothing more than what Bethesda make up for the latest incarnation of the Tamriel world (or all of Nirn if your prefer). One incarnation (game) could contradict a previous incarnation, if it suits them. The latest version of lore overrides any previous writing on the same subject if it contradicts that previous writing, thus lore in itself is not fixed, and need not be considered as law (see what I did there?). If you want Dwemer, you use Dwemer, and make use of as much or as little lore as you want. I merely answered the original request

 Re: dwarfs
ah, very good then mate and the reason i was asking, is there are some ppl who instantly hate the mod if its not 100% lore friendly.... so i was wondering if their was any possible loop whole that i could tell those few ppl... i find its easyer to go into a demntion where there is no lore, and be able to create ur own story, without limitations, ie the saints tale story, or the respawn storyline... not having to worry bout beths rules, and lore bits i was orignaly thinking of some splinter faction of the dwemer.. who did not agree with the master crafter who cuased the great disaperince wen tampering with the heart... but dont know how buyable that is either...
