Your skill sets can be anything from scripting knowledge, to modeling and texture artists, to just ideas, forum support, or anything really... just as long as your attitude is good....

You must agree to the team rules...those will be posted below.

And finally, that you are active on these forums for at least 2 consecutive weeks, even if its only a post a day kind of thing. We just need to know that you are going to be a regular here at the site, and not just join, and disappear....

Preamble

Dragon Captions is truly a team, in works as well as in minds. Not only do we intend to support and promote the various mods created for the team in the past and present by our talented members, but we also intend to offer them and their resources to other team mods that are made in the future. Therefore, it is important that we agree to keep DC mods available and intact for the use of our team members.

The purpose of these codes is to protect the DC team from anyone who might otherwise attempt to sabotage the work by withdrawing resources that the DC mods depend on. At the same time, we wish to recognize the rights of the generous people whose contributions make our work possible. With this in mind, these codes are offered, and become binding once members agree to them in this thread:


Control of the Dragon

A. Contributions and Abandonment:
Any resource that has been made and or released under the name of the Dragon Captions team is the property of the DC team. If the resource was made by one person, that person can still freely use the resource as he sees fit. If said person leaves the team, he can request that no further development or updates be made to the work. In honor of such a request, DC will not make any changes or updates to the work. DC, however, retains the right to release the work as is, under the DC name at its own discretion.* Credit will be given to the respective contributors. Also, any completed mods made at Dragon Captions or released under the Dragon Captions name may not be removed from the team without expressed approval of the Dragon Captions Team Leaders representing Dragon Captions.

Any resource that DC has been given permission to use remains the property of its creator. Once DC receives the creator's permission to use their work or resources, the creator agrees that Dragon Captions will be allowed to continue to use those resources and work for as long as the team exists. However, the creator may request at any time that his work not be used in the future, but DC retains the right to use the work in any mod, whether a Work-in-Progress, or a Released Mod, that has already incorporated the work. Also, the creator can specify specific limits for the use of his work at the time that he submits the work.* Other than the above provisions, the contributor has full rights to his own work and can use it as he sees fit.

In addition, all members agree to allow any work intended for release under the Dragon Captions name to be completed by another team member should the creator disappear, leave the team or become unreachable. This is to ensure the work already done on a mod by others is not wasted.

The DC team retains the right to use (within the agreed upon conditions) or not use any resources submitted to it at its own discretion. The DC team is not required to use all or any of the resources submitted to it.

B. Secondary Use of Individual Work:

No one may use any resources or other work created or released under the DC name except with the permission of the DC team, or of all the individuals who created the resources. An exception is noted for resources designated as modder's resources which may be freely used by anyone as long as due credit is given to the respective authors.

C. Dragon Captions Resource Pack:

The Dragon Captions Resource Pack has been updated and expanded from the Cyrodiil Upgrade Resource Pack. With this in mind, and considering all prior agreements made in order to be able to make this pack, such agreements remain first and foremost binding. The Cyrodiil Resource Pack may not be altered by anyone, and the Dragon Captions Resource Pack may not be altered except by DC team members and only with the express approval of a Dragon Captions Team Leader.

All resources included in the DCRP are considered modder's resources and are therefore available to anyone to use regardless of their standing with the DC team. We encourage modders to make use of this resource pack in creating their own mods.
Alternately, (though we suggest not to) any person can make their own resource pack using the resources from the CURP and the DCRP so long as they do not alter the original Resource Packs. Other than the above mentioned agreement, which takes precedence, the only requirements Dragon Captions makes is that the creators of the individual resources in this pack be credited properly in the finished work and that FormIDs and names be changed by anyone making their own resource pack (for compatibility reasons).

Dragon Captions agrees to keep this resource public and available, so long as it is possible to do so. Any additional updates or resources added to the Resource Pack will also remain publicly available therein as modder's resources. Dragon Captions pledges to insure to the best of its ability that all updates to the resource pack remain compatible with any mod dependent on earlier versions.

D. Changes to the Codes

Dragon Captions holds the right to update these codes at any time in the future in order to adapt to changing circumstances or situations. Approval of a proposed update requires the agreement of a team leader and a majority of the active members.** When an update is made to the codes, all members (who have already agreed to the previous version of the codes) have thirty days to formally disagree with the update if they do not accept the changes. Dragon Captions will try to contact all members by PM to inform them of the update in process. When announcing their disagreement, the member should specifically explain what part they disagree with, why they disagree with it, and what compromises they would instead be willing to accept. In the event that a compromise is not reached, the disagreeing member, still remains bound to all his previous agreements.

Any member who does not state a disagreement in that time frame, agrees, by his silence, to accept the update.***

* This does not include the contributions to the DCRP

** For the purpose of this code, active members are defined as all members of DC who have checked in at any time during the previous 21 days.

*** Any member who has taken a previously determined and announced leave of absence that started before the update was announced, will be allowed 10 days from his specified return date (or the actual return date if that is sooner) to state a disagreement. This extension does not apply to members who did not announce their leave of absence before leaving.


By noting your approval in this thread, you agree to all these points and are willing to be held to them.

greetings, i am Breakingdawn, a man with lots of modding ideas for oblivion. i have been a private modder for myself in the past, and now i am looking to join a team, i have been searching for a week now and have read great things about dragoncaptions. i would love to join youre team as a modder if it is ok. i will not let you down, also i will not dissapeare. i am just a single person looking for a team to mod with. if i may have the honor of joining this team, i would be so happy. i dont belive in giving up, and i am a hard worker. i will try to make a post on this site atleast twice per day to prove im not going to be one of those that vanishes.

i agree and accept the rules of the team, and i belive they are what makes this team great. im sorry ive been offline yesterday and this morning, but ive not been home, ive been at my cousins house. he lives in the country and has no internet. but im home now. im sorry for not contacting anyone, he came unexpected needing some help with his kids.

im sorry myself for my extened absentses... i am experince alot of... things... in real life that are keeping me away from my computer, and my abilites to be on line. sorry for this aswell mate...
