No rain yet? Dear me. I do sympathize. We're still waiting, too. But, weathermen are promising we shall have some (hopefully more than a few drops) soon. And, with a new tropical storm forming over the gulf, I would think you should soon, too. That is, unless all that oil is making trouble.

Hmm, Oil. The oil is in the ocean. Is it possible that it is keeping the ocean water from properly evaporating into the air? Never thought of that.

Nowena, when I lived in Arizona in the summer we sometimes had muddy rain. Do you still get that?

I loved the sheet lightning. I would sit on the screen porch for hours just watching. Beautiful to see.

Well, you know what they say about butterfly wings. :)

And, more important, they are now discovering the first signs of La Nina. That probably has more to do with it.

Warranties on computers and cars do pay off.

I had my laptop in for service, and they junked it and gave me it's value towards a new computer.

I take my car in on Monday for repair work. One of the power windows doesn't work and the lock on another door doesn't work.

hehe. You're right, ysne. Warranties are ever so useful. Unfortunately, everything I have now is beyond warranty period - except for the clothes washer and I may need to take advantage of that.

I've been away for awhile. Our ompany 40th anniversary party and convention started this week. LOTS of work getting ready for that and a bit more until the convention is over this weekend. But, I will do my best to pop in whenever I can.

I'm in the process of getting Oblivion set up on this new computer right now. I'm doing some mod testing over at TES Alliance.

My son heads off for Japanese camp tomorrow. This is a great way to get his high school language requirements out of the way.

I set him up with more behind the wheel training for when he gets back. The instructor's car has a brake on the passenger side. Much safer when teaching someone to drive. The instructor offered to let me sit in the back on one of the trainings. I told him I would like to do that, get some pointers you know.
