The elder council on duty/off duty bug
So I've been really enjoying TEC, but I've been having an issue with a bug that makes me very sad. After looking for about a half an hour for a problem similar to mine to no avail, I decided I'd start up a new topic on it. I've already completed the first two duty patrols and was going to pick up the third, but when I try to get the new patrol, it doesn't give me the option. I'm wearing the legion cuirass (and all the other stuff for good measure) and I do not get the pop up in the top left saying that I'm on patrol at all (giving it 5-10 seconds for the script to load doesn't help either). Heck, I don't get the special full legion armor buff (+personality and +speechcraft). I'm really not sure what could cause it to work one moment and then never work again the next Any help would be fantastic.

Re: The elder council on duty/off duty bug
Two possible causes spring to mind:
1) Is your infamy lower than 15? Because if it is NOT, the Legion won't allow you to join and you also won't be able to serve in a normal way. The last part will also influence your perks when you wear the armor. Is your infamy higher than 15? Do you have Temple of the One installed? If so you can pray daily in it, to have the infamy reduced. 2) Did you install any other mod lately? Yes? Then make sure TEC is listed last in your mod sequence.

Re: The elder council on duty/off duty bug
In the past, I've found that people who have already joined the legion and done a patrol or two, then went on to something else for awhile and came back and found they were unable to get another duty in the legion usually weren't wearing the armour they were given when they joined. Just any old legion armour won't do. You have to use the ones given to you by the guy in the legion headquarters. Sometimes, players sell that set or mix it up with some more they've found and this causes exactly the problem you describe.
(I believe a later version provides access to purchase additional armour and add a battlemage's hood, if desired.)
Also, 15 - 24 infamy will still allow you to be and work as a legionaire, but you will be classified in the mod as a "corrupt legionaire". That hurts your nobility status and a few other things (quests) as you move through the mod, but it also opens a whole new set of quests open only to corrupt legionaires - think extortion and drug smuggling.
25 is the magic number of infamy where you get kicked out of the legion.

Re: The elder council on duty/off duty bug
I'll try placing it lower in the load order, but I'm 100% sure I am wearing the right armor (LegionCuirass with no space). I have 0 infamy on this character.
Also, I was doing them consecutively and it was literally after I had fast traveled back to IC and put the armor back on that it stopped working =(.

Re: The elder council on duty/off duty bug
You have to have EXACTLY the same armour you received when you joined: cuirass, greaves, boots, helmet, etc. Picking up one from a fallen legionaire doesn't work. Neither does using any Legioncuirass replacement you got somewhere else or consoled in. It MUST be the ones you received when you joined.
Most of the people who had the problem in the past used a different legionaire riding helmet or forgot to put it on. Whenever you don the correct armour, you should always immediately get the popup notice that you are "now on duty". If you don't, the mod doesn't recognize what you're wearing. Check through the items you are carrying and see if there is something that duplicates part of your kit.
(I believe you can carry any weapon or shield you wish, but the rest MUST be the original.)

Re: The elder council on duty/off duty bug
Also, you cannot enchant any part of the armour other than the weapon or shield. That will destroy the tag placed on that armour that allows the mod to recognize it.

Re: The elder council on duty/off duty bug
I'm wearing exactly what I had from the start. Haven't replaced anything at all.
However, I do have a mod that allows me to wear robes over armor-which is placed higher in the load order so I figured it wouldn't conflict. Could that possibly cause issues with the script? I've tried putting on the armor with and without it to no avail.
Is there any way I can manually activate and deactivate the script with a command so I can work around the issue?
Thanks.

Re: The elder council on duty/off duty bug
Nope. I use the same robes over armour mod (loaded earlier) and it doesn't cause any problems with my game or that mod. (of course, my character doesn't wear a robe with the armour when doing patrols)
And, using the console to do anything with the scripts of that mod WILL be very likely to break the script entirely. (Causing a need to return to a very early save or, more likely, require a reinstall.) Is there any chance you have consoled through any part of this script previously?
My only other suggestion would be to post a load order and give me the version of TEC and CURP that you are using (or if you are using DCRP instead of CURP).

Re: The elder council on duty/off duty bug
Wait. You said you normally got a legion buff when donning the armour? Which version of TEC are you using? And, which version of CURP or DCRP?

Re: The elder council on duty/off duty bug
I have the latest versions of TEC and DCRP from tesnexus (got them 3 days ago I believe). As far as load order, i'm using BOSS to sort out the majority of it and I keep that updated so as long as that thing is accurate, it should be fine. Version 2.0.3 for TEC and 1.5.8 for DCRP. If it's any help, I'm not using the COBL version.
I haven't done anything with the console for the mod, so that can't be the problem.
And yes, I did normally get the legion buff when wearing the full set of armor I received upon initially joining the legion (the +speechcraft and +personality ability buff).
