Post The hackers that attacked Sony, Bioware, Bethesda, and Sega
have just recently moved to attacking law enforcement, jeeze apparently these guys probably felt like gods after attacking so much high game developers, so they thought to rally a bunch of hackers to attack the Arizona police. Share your thoughts, although we all know no matter what, someone is really going to get screwed, really really soon...

Oh, yeah. They really made the Arizona police angry. We'll see what, if anything, happens from that and the hacking of the CIA and Congress. I'm betting we will see some hackers defending themselves in court very soon. They may think they are invulnerable, but they've grabbed the tiger's tail when it comes to making very powerful enemies.

Lol, I heard they actually wiped the CIA's site.

Just imagine, they get immunity, in exchange they work for the govt. That would be laughs, I've actually heard of cases like this happen where, I believe near or during WWII, a certain leader of the Yakuza was granted immunity from the U.S. or allies at the time, in exchange he was supposed to spy on the peoples republic and their excessive progress. Him having some sort of ultranationalist background apparently, he was very much against the PRC at the time and this ended up working out for both their interests.

Although I never knew why the story explained his ultranationalist background, since his nationality was Japanese and this transpired with the Chinese, it could be either he preferred Monarchies over Communism, or he probably knew how much of a threat a future "Peoples Republic of China" could be for his country :P

Although very much doubt this will happen to these people right now, if they are still targeting game developers, I'm quite confused as to why they haven't targeted EA as of now(or have they?), due to this recent incident that most speculate is going to be EA's own demise, though most are just really pissed off at them, me being one of them

Yes. They have. And, if you have an account there, you'd better hurry over and change your passwords, etc. Bioware is locking thousands of accounts for breach of security - including email addresses, user names, passwords, and I don't know whatall. They claim, for now, that no financial information has been stolen, but I wouldn't count on that just yet.

By the way, it isn't Bioware's records they want. It's yours. (and all other users)

Sigh, I could imagine EA going to be very incompetent about this, unlike Bioware who's taking steps to prevent it from happening, EA will just let it slide... -_-

I changed my Bethesdath's right away but forgot about Bioware. Blast. I hope the CIA gets them. I hope they end up defending themselves then sentaenced to serve a few years of community service working for the gov. :D It is a shame that people as intelligent and capable as that are so stupid.

EA and Bioware are kind of intertwined in the web sites. (If I remember right, I registered at EA and it worked on Bioware, at least some of the time.) Anyway, I got a note from Bioware warning me of the situation.

You guys no longer need to worry, the hackers known as lulszec has been disbanded, and it seems that one of their members in the UK have been arrested ^_^

Thanks for the comforting words. However, in their post they only said they were disbanding, not that they were going to stop hacking. And, I not sure lulz is the only one or even the worst one that we need to worry about. There are many hackers about and most of them are looking for financial information, passwords, identities, etc. to cause havoc or steal. Not so certain lulz wasn't doing some of the same. The message I got from Bioware didn't say it was lulz that conpromised their site, and when my information was stolen from Facebook being hacked some time ago, it definitely was a different group - although they, too, published all the info they'd stolen, which then allowed any thief that wished to grab them to do so.

Caution and a good virus checker and firewall are still valid things to have and probably will be for a long, long time.

Hmm I was afraid of this, initially I had thought Lulzsec was the culprit behind all of those attacks, but then again, that would be amazing if they managed to attack all of these targets...

And yes you make a good point, but then again, these people must be scared out of their mind right now to even think about doing more hacking, haha. Although one can never be too sure...
