The Prologue

My name is Konabar. I am the eldest son of a man named Jimly. My younger brother is named Alian. Our father worked as a knight of scarab and served proudly. I was fifteen at the time, Alain was only nine and barely remembered the fateful event. the year was 3E 415 and our father got called to put down a revolved outside of Daggerfall. I remember Knight Brother Gregor returning to our home and giving us the news. The life of my brother and I changed forever that day - when we got the news that our father was dead. Alain was to young to understand what Gregor had meant by it. and in honesty, it was probably for the best that he did not. At this point in my life, i went with Knight Brother Gregor to Daggerfall and served as his squire. My brother was adopted by Gregor and the Knight raised my dear brother like his own. I served dutifully under Gregor for nearly ten years! Rising through the Knightly order and reaching the rank of Knight Errant. My younger brother had always show magical talents. he was now nineteen and an apprentice with the mages guild. The Arch-magister appears to be quite pleased with with Alains Progress thus far.

Then it happened once again... my little, neat, nicely constructed, world came crashing down. the year was 3E426. I returned from patrolling the walls of Daggerfall to find Master Gregor murdered in cold blood within our manor house. None of the servants were to be found. I bent down over the body of my former master and pulled the odd bone dagger from his body. I twirled it a few times in my hands as i looked for clues. it was about that time when a group of Daggerfall Watchmen burst in and placed me under arrest for the Murder of Knight Protector Gregor of Daggerfall. It was a rather short trial. The Imperial Magistrates had no sympathy for me! regardless of my father and my family name. I was sentenced to be executed in Cyrodiil before the elder council for murdering a Knight of the Dragon. The first time i heard that Gregor was a Knight of the Dragon had been during the court proceedings. The man never did reveal his order to me.

i was held in the imperial jail until Midyear of 3E 427. I remember that fateful day all to well. There were men in ornate looking armor that appeared before my cell. They told me that there had been a change in plans and that i was not to be executed next month. I was so overjoyed by this fact that i missed a lot of the minor details they included in their speech. The next day i found myself on an imperial cargo ship bounded Eat for the City of Siligrad. I remember sitting in the cover wagon for days on end. when we stopped for the night. i was watched under heavy guard the entire knight. I am beginning to feel that there was far more to the 'crimes' i committed and these stranger's plans for me. Upon reaching the City of Siligrad it was quite immaculate and strange. The dunmer crowded the streets. A Guide said that we were in the Hlaalu district of Morrowind. Neither meant anything to me at that time. We only stayed in Siligrad for two days before my guards chartered a small prisoner ship and continued east to the coastal lands of the Inner Sea of Morrowind. While in Siligrad, my captors brought another Dark Elf aboard the ship with me. I assume that he was convicted of some odd crime.

The last night of our journey, the storms were waging fiercely, however this did not wake me. Odd dreams of a soft female voice filled me mind. I found myself lost in a storm of sand and fire standing on a strange land. the voice told me not to fear that all will be explained. I can only imagine what the future has in stored for me. Then the day came - the day my life took yet another drastic turn. 3E 427, the first day of Last Seed. i found the boat i was aboard stop as it came into port once again. i found the kind dark elf that had boarded the ship back in siligrad watching over me. He introduced himself as Juib. He said that he was once a wealthy and noble Dunmer councilor for great house hlaalu. He also told me that he was convicted of murdering a well respected redoran nobleman and was to be brought before the council in Ebonheart for an imperial Trail. I felt sorry for the kind dark elf, but his troubles were not mine. i had far more exhausting and worrisome fortunes to follow myself.

It was about that time that a man dressed in noble mans clothing came below deck and ordered me to follow him on deck. juib gestured that i should follow the man so i did. I soon found myself in the port of Seyda Neen. I was processed through the the imperial Census office and released back into Society. A Knight of the Imperial Legion by the name of Sellus Gravius gave me a package and told me to head to the Hlaalu County Seat of Balmora. I guess my new life begins here.

I found myself once again looking around that old and familiar temple counting the bricks on the far wall. Kaye came to my quarters and asked me if i would follow him to the worshipers chamber. i always thought he was rather nice, for a redguard. Most i meet i do not care for in the least. It was a short stroll before he stopped outside the ornate door. the words 'Lalatia Varia is waiting just inside that door' ran a bolt of frost through me. I entered the chamber to find the oracle standing in the center of the chamber looking off into the eyes of a rather large portrait of Talos. She begged for me to come near, and to aid her with a vision she had just experienced. it was a rather odd request in my mind; yet i was honor bound to obey her. reluctantly, i went to the Imperial Commission in Ebonheart. I honestly do not know why they do not refer to it as a library, and insist on using such an odd naming system. There was a rather helpful dunmer there that was able to point me in the right direction towards the ring of darkness that laid above a ring of water, on the shores of her lady's grace. Looks as if i am off into the deep and odd culture of the Tel Nation.
